They will be the one to pull the mobs, lock them down and manage CC timers, all while making sure to keep aggro on themselves. For that reason it is the hardest role to play, and requires average IP as well as weapon and off-hand IP to be on par with what's needed for whatever level HCE is being done. Make sure to get those 4 stacks of Dreadladen Fighting (4th Passive) so your Snare Charge (W) lasts a LOT longer and helps you manage the mobs! This is the go-to build for tanking, due to its efficiency and well tuned strategy!

The Pork Omelette is the most popular food, be it Tier 7, 7.1 or 7.2, as it allows the tank to get their cooldowns back asap, and manage mob packs better, especially in parties where DPS is low, but the Avalonian Beef Sandwich is an excellent choice, as it will allow you to take some extra hits and also make your CC last longer! Another great option is the Thunderfall Lurcher Sandwich (or its Tier 6 counterpart), especially if you're learning, as it'll make you much harder to kill!
